Chapter One: Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study
The recruitment of qualified teachers is essential for improving education quality and outcomes. In Minna LGA, Niger State, public relations (PR) strategies have been utilized to enhance teacher recruitment campaigns by creating awareness, addressing misconceptions about the teaching profession, and engaging potential candidates. PR approaches such as targeted advertising, social media outreach, and stakeholder engagement play a critical role in highlighting the benefits of a teaching career and encouraging more individuals to join the profession. Studies have shown that PR-driven campaigns improve public perception and attract a larger pool of qualified applicants (Adeleke & Mohammed, 2023).
